As a Senior Consultant, Rachel Plein finds joy in interrogating situations from every angle and creating frameworks to unravel complexity—a well-suited trait for the role. With exceptional experience across a wide array of industries and enduring curiosity, she loves helping brands solve their toughest challenges by infusing empathy into research to help them understand the human side of their consumers.
Rachel joined Brandtrust with over a decade of consumer insights and brand strategy experience, most recently serving as a Brand Strategy Director at Dentsu McgarryBowen. A love for continued education, she holds a Bachelor of Science in Journalism, Advertising and a Bachelor of the Arts in Art History from the University of Colorado Boulder, but attributes her Master’s Degree from the VCU Brandcenter to where she discovered the art and science of communications strategy.
Rachel grew up in Colorado where she spent much of her time exploring the outdoors. She currently lives in Deerfield, IL, with her wife, Colleen, and their two children, Levi and Avery. Before Covid times, they enjoyed seeing Broadway shows, visiting new restaurants, and taking the kids to museums, but lately have been going on “adventures” with the kids in their very own backyard.
