Diane Sheehan, PhD

Researcher

I am an Industrial Organizational Psychologist with 25 years experience in both internal and external consulting roles (e.g., Motorola, Ameritech, CapH Group) partnering with clients in the areas of leadership selection and development, organizational culture and change, training design and delivery, and leadership coaching. With a background in Industrial and Organizational Psychology, I leverage social psychology principles to understand employee and consumer behavior, including exploring memory to access powerful, vivid narratives vital to understanding consumer experiences with brands and global categories.

I am driven by curiosity, learning new skills, engaging life from unique and new perspective . I find something beautiful in each day, am inspired by the arts, prose, poetry, history, and nature in all its glorious forms and seasons. I am a fiercely loyal friend, defender of what is just, and believer in feeding all who enter my home. I am passionate about travel, languages, culture, family, friends, cooking, and looking to the past to understand the future.

As a Brandtrust Researcher, I listen to the story being told, for what is said and isn’t said, intuitively encouraging the voices of consumers and others to uncover their innate needs and bring insights to life. Using deep experience in organizational and social psychology, I shape cognitive and behavioral interviewing techniques to invite unfiltered narratives of unconscious decision-making in order to distill behavior and emotion into meaning for future impact.
