The Video Portrait:
An in-depth look at the people you want to know most
Often in a Contextual Inquiry study we find one respondent who illustrates the shared attitudes and beliefs of the audience we are studying. This is when we turn to the Video Portrait.
This form of video can be produced immediately after a Contextual Inquiry study is completed. In this mini documentary approach, we can dig deep into the life of one person and focus more energy on creating powerful visuals and telling the strongest possible story. We've found this to be a very powerful way to bring a customer to life.
The example above is from our Grills demonstration project. If you think it might be a solution for you, we'd be happy to share other examples—including a small film about an Alzheimer's caregiver that was shot by a Pulitzer Prize winning photographer who works with us.
